Dry Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Pumpkin seeds are a rich source of fiber, zinc and other essential nutrients. You may eat them raw but toasted pumpkin seeds taste simply fantastic. They make a great snack. You may also sprinkle them on salads or soup.


Makes 250g pumpkin seeds

250g peeled and dried pumpkin seeds
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder to taste
Finely ground black peppercorns to taste

1. Place the pumpkin seeds in a medium pan over medium-low heat and stir until they begin to crackle. Take care not to burn them.

2. Add the salt, turmeric powder and ground peppercorns to taste and toss to combine.

3. Remove from the heat.

4. Let cool completely before serving or storing in an airtight container. It stays good for up to a week.
