Pepper Peanuts

Healthy and tasty time-pass snack !!!


SERVES 4 to 6


1 cup/180g shelled peanuts

¼ teaspoon vegetable oil

15-20 curry leaves, coarsely chopped

A pinch of turmeric powder

A pinch of asafoetida

Finely ground black peppercorns

Salt to taste



  1. Place the peanuts, curry leaves and oil in a medium pan over medium-low heat and roast until done.
  2. Add the turmeric powder, asafoetida, ground peppercorns and salt. Mix.
  3. Remove from the heat. Let cool to room temperature.
  4. Serve or store in an airtight container until ready to eat.
