This cooling, nourishing salad is a little sweet, a little hot and a little sour—making it a delicious accompaniment to any meal.
500g cucumber, peeled and finely chopped
10-15 shelled walnuts, coarsely chopped
2 garlic scrapes, finely sliced
1 green chilli pepper, finely chopped
2 tablespoons raisins
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh coriander
½ teaspoon ground roasted cumin seeds
¼ teaspoon amchur powder
A pinch of black salt
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
½ cup/125ml thick plain yoghurt, whisked until smooth
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Serve immediately.
